Healing of internal traumas
You believe, as we do, that every child deserves a bright future. Every last child.
The "Guerison des ames" church was founded on July 27, 2002. The name "Messianic Church for the Healing of Souls" (EMGA) was chosen in reference to the "Souls Healing Ministry", under which the church operated for two years before receiving official recognition. This name was also selected in light of the deep wounds suffered by people due to the numerous atrocities caused by war in the region, particularly in Burundi, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. All the founding members agreed that only God could heal such wounds, and they believed that this evocative name could inspire those who had suffered greatly to seek divine healing. To distinguish the ministry from the church, the word "Messianic" was added to emphasize that it is only the Messiah who can bring true healing from these wounds. In this spirit, the vision and mission of the church revolve around the healing of souls, so that those who have lost everything—their loved ones, their belongings—and who have been forced to flee their countries, whether internally or abroad, can live together as brothers and sisters. The church also seeks to care for widows and orphans, fostering a spirit of sharing and community, just as the first Christians did in the Bible: Acts 2:43-47.
